I was a dog fancier and not a cat fan for decades, but with the passing of our last canine fur baby there was a void. The opportunity to take in an orphaned kitten presented itself. And with that the conversion began.
As luck would have it the needs of other fur babies presented themselves. That's when it all began.
HOUSE cat. The old man of the group. An aquisition from a relative who could take him along to their new residence. Sure! Why not? He believes that he is in charge of everyone else. But the arrival of Tiger Lily has proven otherwise. Likes the outdoors but not rain or snow.
HOUSE cat. This big ball of fur came to us as atiny orphaned kitten. Sure! Why not? She needs a loving home. Blossoned into a colorful snuggle bunny. Snoozing on the couch is her favorite hobby.
PART TIME resident. A cold weather refugee. A former neighbothood garage cat that asked for help during the winter. Well adapted to us and the house. But she still loves being outside. But comes back in when she's done playing and exploring.
GARAGE cat. Another neighborhood garage cat. A real sweety. Very playful and gentle. A close friend of Tiger's. We brought her in on the freezing nights before having an insulated shelter. She still prefers to hang out in the garage. For now safe shelter and concierge service seem to work for her.
