Nifty Neato 50's Stuff

Help with my project

These are a few items that I found in my 50's goodie bin and we will try to incorporate them into the build. I try to create period pieces if at all possible. These should help it along.

From the Goodie Bin

NOS Hollywood Accessories taillight housing extensions. They fit over the original housings on 52-3-4 Fords and bolt in using long screws. The lenses are 55 Pontiac. I am probably going to convert the units to LED inserts because they are small and LED's are much brighter.

NOS Fulton Wide Windshield Visor. This is the big wide visor that mounts over the windshield as a sun screen. They are cool but they make seing stoplights a pain. So I added a Traffic view to the dash to compensate.

NOS "Cobra" Headlight Extensions This accessory headlight extension has an eyebrow that extends over the headlight. It was pattered after the Cadillac bezels. Only this on is for the 52/3/4 Ford units.

Licence Plate Lamp - This is an old after market license plate light that has a Lexan tube with a light housing on both ends. When it lights up and the tube glows. Way Kool! Who needs neon!?

Exhaust Tips - These are some really nifty exhaust tips that I came across a few years back, I would like to have them going out the back side by side.We will have to see if we can pull it off.

Floor Console and Door Trays - This complete 3 piece set of aftermarket metal floor console and door trays of unknown manufacture. Painted in a gray hammertone paint. The set consists of a center floor console with 2 drink holders and tissue box holder and a pair of matching door trays "Auto-Snak-Bar", by Autotray Jr. 3901 E. 26 st. Indianapolis 18, IND. Autotray Company, INC. that slip into the glass channel and have a spot for a soft drink.

Rear window Blinds - An original set of Sears Cross Country rear window blinds. They served the same purpose as the house version to cut down the sunlight through the back window.

Seat Back Picnic Carrier - This is a plaid painted metal box with a flip up lid in the center for sandwiches and whatever and a holder in each end for thermos bottles. The handles allow it to hang on the back of the front seat and swing to double as carrying handles. Made by Scotch.

Underdash Tray - This tray mounts under the dash and swings out when you need it. The unit is a Travel-Tray by Robray Mfg. of Chicago

Front Lowering Kit - This is an original front end lowering kit that goes between the lower spring seat and the a-arm. The install involves cutting the rivets holding the lower spring seat and separating it from the arm and then inserting the spacers and reassembling the unit with bolts. Super simple.

Headlight Covers - These aerodynamic Lexan headlight covers were made by Gaylord Accessories. They go over the headlights and are held in by the normal retaining ring.

Air Springs - This Air Lift kit is for the rear leaf springs as an assistance air support. It is an NOS kit. I don't know if I will use it but if I do the NOS bags will be replaced (Ya Think?!) with new ones. But the install kit and the hardware are fine.

Coronado Kit - A very rare and unusual factory accessory. It is a faux-continental kit thatt mounts on the deck lid. You either like it or hate it. I like it!
