My Chrome Limo
My Chrome Limo is a stretched chassis. This cruiser is a low slung deluxe stretch that features an innovative design with a vintage flair. The springer front end and a stretched frame are just a couple of unique features. And all in chrome is the flashy part! While it was assembled I already has some other additions planned.
All in all this is a way cool bike. While you have to work to get up to speed and the pullback bars are at a nice height. The new tires have very low rolling resistence and make for easy and comfortable pedaling. I must say that turning does require some pre-planning and creative logistics. The ride with the triple sprung seat is actually very comfortable.
UPGRADES and UPDATES
- Tires the black-walls with a flame tread pattern were nice but a nice set of MZ white walls with a street pattern tread are more fitting I believe.
- Seat - A nice extra wide triple sprung tan seat is a comfy upgrade.
- Grips - The tan leather wrapped versions with spun aluminum end caps are a nice upgrade from the plain black ones. And good grips are required for getting this bad boy moving.
- Pedals - a new set of polished pedals with good serrated grip make the start ups much safer and solid.
- Mirrors - It's always handy to see what is coming up behind you. A pair of rectangular lowrider classic mirrors get the job done nicely.
- Headlight - For a headlight I selected a vintage style flashlight and handlebar mount
- Taillight / Strobe - Some web scrounging came up with a nice rear light/reflector combo that has the added benefit of a solid/strobe light.
- Cup Holder - You have to have a refreshment holder don't you. I found a slick aluminum holder that worked for me nicely. A nice plain unlogo'd aluminum drink cup goes ncely with it.
- Tool Bag - a seat mounted leather tool bag holds some essentials.
